- Assist in the development and maintenance of group-wide corporate accounting policies

- Ongoing monitoring of appropriate application of accounting policies at the corporate and subsidiary level

- Provide support by researching and determining appropriate accounting policies for significant, new or unusual transactions, and effectively communicate the impact of implementing such policies to senior management

- Assisting in the analysis of impacts of new accounting policy developments or unique transactions on the consolidation system structure and the consolidated financial statements

- Collaborate with other groups and/or departments to implement new accounting standards and support corporate financial reporting

- Assist in preparing the 10Q/K financial statements, footnotes and disclosures and supporting schedules

- Coordinate with external auditors as part of the annual audit and quarterly review process

- Support broader financial reporting team on ad hoc projects

Desired Skills / Experience:

- 3+ years GAAP accounting experience in a similar role

- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint; ability to model and create complex spreadsheets, look up tables, pivot tables, and understand/analyze the results

Required Skills / Experience:

- Excellent communication and organization skills

- Strong knowledge of financial accounting for financial services

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working independently and as part of a team

- Statutory accounting experience is a plus

Education:

- Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting

- CPA required

For individuals assigned or hired to work in Jersey City, New York City, and/ or Westchester County, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$107,900 - $145,700/year

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
