At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Cyber Security Analyst you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Cyber Security Analyst joining our team to remotely support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Review security documentation including, but not limited to system security plan (SSP), risk assessment (RA), contingency plan (CP), privacy impact assessment (PIA), eAuthentication assessment, and FIPS categorization providing recommendations and areas of improvement.
Provide support for the security life cycle of applications to the project teams and client stakeholders.
Provides advice and guidance on the implementation of network/system/software security in accordance with mandates and other directives.
Collaborate with the project team(s) to support security activities.
Assisting with identifying and mitigating risks.
Conducts security impact assessments and advises managers and stakeholders of results.
Assists software development team to reduce security risks in database application development projects.
WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and technical certifications or training, or work experience
3-5 Years of directly related experience in Information Assurance
3-5 Years of AWS security services
Possess strong analysis and change management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with NIST 800 series of Special Publications, disaster/contingency planning, risk assessment, and the NIST Risk Management Framework
Knowledgeable with Information Security practices, networks, software, and hardware, computer programming, operating systems and computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Hands-on experience with developing and maintaining Security architecture
Must have resided in the U.S. 3 out of the last 5 years
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
CISSP, Security+ or other security-related certifications
RSA Archer Assessment and Authorization
DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides
End point security and vulnerability scanning tools
CMS Acceptable Risks and Safeguards
CMS Information System Security policies and procedures
Detail oriented, with strong follow-up skills to ensure completion of tasks (e.g., ability to track failed test cases and ensure that the technical resolution is completed and re-tested.
Be able to work with all levels of program and client project team members and establish and maintain a strong customer-focused working relationship
