Sales Engineer for Pro-Tech Solutions

Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems, valves, precision measurement, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Sales Engineer for Pro-Tech Solutions, our precision instrumentation team. She/He will work out of our headquarters in Allendale, NJ, currently this is a hybrid role.

Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Biotech, Chemical, Food & Beverage, HVAC, Hydrocarbon Processing, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, Oil Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and Water & Wastewater Treatment

Role:

Primary responsibility for the overall internal management of the customer account relationship for the sale of process instrumentation, instrument services and solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary inside contact for the account team, respond to customer requests for quotation and information, preparing quotations, offer troubleshooting guidance as required, offer solutions, and quotation follow up.
  • Review customer\'s specifications, technical requirements and commercial terms and conditions, completion of the application engineering required to select product or service offering, and generation of quotations.
  • Review customer purchase orders, as required, for compliance to quotations and communication/resolution of any discrepancies between the purchase order and the quotation with the customer as required.
  • Ensure data integrity in the CRM for customer opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Coordination of instrument field service work with both internal and external resources.
  • Review all factory purchase order acknowledgements and confirmations for any discrepancies; including ship dates, addresses, quantities, item costs, and all other customer required information.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by internally communicating and resolving customer issues as required.
  • Normal Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a STEM discipline required, with an Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite application, and ERP tool experience preferred.
  • 2+ years\' experience within industrial process controls industry, highly regarded.
  • Must satisfactorily complete formalized training to develop the level of competence necessary to specify and quote instruments manufactured by Emerson Process Management and other Pro-Tech principals. Additional training will be offered as required including but not limited to sales and industry solutions conferences and seminars, and CAI safety training.

This is a direct placement position; third party contracts are not available.
