JOB TITLE: Safety Administrator

LOCATION: Santa Barbara, CA

HOURLY PAY:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Safety Administrator position is responsible for providing administrative support to the safety department regarding regulatory and recordkeeping requirements for MarBorg Industries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide administrative support to the entire Safety team.
  • Assist with the planning and administration of MarBorg\xe2\x80\x99s safety program.
  • Performs data entry of safety training records in ADP and maintains electronic files for employees.
  • Supports employee day-to-day inquiries.
  • Keep inventory of PPE supplies, first aid kit and other safety supplies.
  • Distributes PPE supplies for new hires and other employees.
  • Coordinates with Safety Specialist on re-cert and re-training schedule.
  • Assist in keeping records of incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries, including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files.
  • Keeps record of all biweekly safety meetings.
  • Maintains records of Material Data sheets
  • Coordinate fire extinguisher inspections with approved supplier.
  • Conducts monthly facility inspections including first aid kits, eye wash stations and general safe working conditions.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of federal and CAL OSHA regulations, maintains up-to-date knowledge of safety codes and regulations, and distributes and/or posts new or revised safety standards that affect the company.
  • Maintains Sandblast and Generator reporting logs.
  • Updating notes timely and concisely upon completion of tasks within the MyOSH system
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure permitting requirements are met for all MarBorg facilities.
  • Assist in creating and ensure that all deadlines on the Compliance Calendar are met. Partner with IT to have the calendar posted on MB online and partner with managers to make them aware of the resource.
  • Renew all facilities and environmental permits as required. Properly maintain all regulatory records/documents. Complete all necessary inspections.
  • Develops and maintains accurate filing system for investigations, inspections, environmental records, safety records, operating logs, test reports and monitoring reports.
  • Ensures all equipment is properly permitted (CNG, air compressor, rubble streaming plant, etc.)
  • Completes VOC logs monthly and submits reports on a yearly basis.
  • Maintains paperwork for all safety and environmental health related reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Position requires excellent verbal and writes English communication skills including ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Basic Spanish communication is a plus.

  • Valid California driver\xe2\x80\x99s license- with clean driving record
