Shinglesmiths Roofing is seeking an experienced and driven

Production Supervisor

to lead the day-to-day execution of our

residential roofing projects

and

commercial roofing operations

. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for top-tier craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and efficient project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

asphalt shingle roofing

, with working knowledge of

metal roofing systems, siding, and low-slope commercial applications

.

The Production Supervisor will coordinate crews, enforce safety standards, manage jobsite logistics, and ensure every project meets Shinglesmiths' high-quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage multiple roofing crews

to ensure residential and small commercial roofing projects are completed on time, on budget, and to spec. Enforce

OSHA-compliant safety practices

across all job sites, promoting a culture of accountability and hazard awareness. Conduct pre-job walkthroughs and post-installation inspections to confirm scope, materials, and quality align with company standards. Communicate daily with project managers, sales reps, and homeowners to provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve any jobsite issues. Oversee proper use of roofing tools and equipment, including nail guns, harness systems, tear-off machinery, and material hoists. Manage and coordinate delivery, staging, and

inventory of roofing materials

, ensuring crews have everything needed for smooth operations. Identify and address field challenges in real time--such as decking damage, flashing issues, or customer concerns--while keeping projects moving forward. Support commercial flat roof projects (TPO, EPDM, or coatings) as needed, ensuring proper installation and compliance. Assist with estimating timelines and crew allocation based on job size, pitch, layers, and complexity. Train and mentor crew leaders and installers on

best practices for shingle installation, ventilation, flashing, and cleanup

.

Qualifications & Experience

3+ years of supervisory experience in the residential roofing industry

is required. Strong knowledge of

steep-slope roofing systems

, including tear-offs, re-roofs, and new installations. Familiarity with

metal roofing

, siding, and flat roofing systems is a plus. Hands-on understanding of jobsite tools, safety harness systems, ladders, and material handling procedures. Ability to read and interpret work orders, scopes of work, and roofing plans. Experience in communicating with homeowners and crews in a professional, respectful manner. Proficient with smartphones/tablets and project management apps for time tracking, reporting, and photo documentation. Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
