We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Unit Manager team as a Skin Lead/Infection Control Specialist. This RN will play a crucial role in overseeing infection control practices, skin care management, and ensuring patient safety. The RN will work closely with the clinical team to evaluate and monitor the utilization of healthcare services while leading efforts to prevent and control infections within the facility.

Responsibilities

:

Lead and manage infection control initiatives, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and protocols. Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' skin health and infection control needs. Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to monitor the utilization of healthcare resources, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Educate staff members on infection control measures and best practices related to skin care. Monitor, document, and report infection control issues and concerns to appropriate parties. Ensure that infection control and skin care documentation is accurately recorded and up-to-date. Conduct regular reviews of patient care to ensure that appropriate infection control and skin health protocols are being followed. Assist with the coordination of care and resources to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. Provide guidance and leadership in infection control training and awareness programs for the clinical team. Perform other duties as needed to support the infection control and utilization management team.

Certification Requirements

:

Registered Nurse (RN) active ME state license. Infection Control certification preferred. 1+ years of clinical experience in infection control, skin care, or utilization management preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
