JOB TITLE: Revenue Management Supervisor (Legal Collections) DEPARTMENT: Accounting & Finance FLSA STATUS: Exempt SCHEDULE: Full-time; M-F LOCATION: Kansas City, MO office (hybrid work environment)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Revenue Management Supervisor is a full-time, exempt position in our Kansas City, MO office. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Collections Team and AR systems. The role focuses on ensuring the operations and associated procedures of the AR systems are efficient and effective, as well as managing the collections team to drive the timely collections of billed revenue. *Only local candidates will be considered*
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in developing and implementing new collections solutions to improve departmental efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manages maintenance of billing/collections systems, inclusive of Aderant and e-Billing platforms.
  • Set up of new clients and matters, assignment of timekeepers and rates, client matter updates as needed for accurate billing and collections.
  • Helps develop strategies for system integration of future technology.
  • Manages collections staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Drives collections reporting (DSO, AR aging) and discussions with Billing Attorneys on aged Billed receivables.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met for the collections team and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and business awareness.
  • Lead and/or participate in departmental projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
  • 3-5 years prior experience working with legal billing systems preferred
  • Experience with iManage, Aderant, and inTapp highly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and proactive business style required
  • Ability to manage a workload from multiple projects simultaneously; remaining accurate and detail focused
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office preferred, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time, but may involve the need for inter-office mobility for brief periods of time
  • Ability to efficiently communicate
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions required
  • Ability to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print
