The One-Stop Resource Navigator plays a critical role in connecting community members with essential services - those existing within the One-Stop Resource Hub brick and mortar location and those existing elsewhere in the community with trusted partners. This role is centered on identifying needs, removing barriers, and guiding people through a compassionate and streamlined process. The Resource Navigator embodies the "Stronger Together" motto of the One-Stop, ensuring that no one has to navigate the system alone.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and engage with community members to assess their immediate and long-term needs through supportive, trauma-informed conversation and needs assessments.
Collaborate with on-site service providers to connect individuals to appropriate programs such as harm reduction services, financial assistance, health care services, childcare assistance, legal services, food resources, recovery support, and more.
Maintain up to date knowledge of community partner organizations and services, building and nurturing strong working relationships to ensure seamless referrals.
Stay informed of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to the one-stop services.
Provide warm hand-offs for services not located in the physical one-stop space by personally introducing individuals to partner organizations via phone, email, or in-person coordination.
Follow up with community members and service providers to confirm connection and support ongoing access to resources.
Track services provided and referrals made using internal systems to support accountability and reporting.
Identify trends in community needs and barriers to access, sharing insights with leadership to inform program improvements.
Participate in regular team meetings, training, and community resource events to stay informed and connected.
Uphold a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of background or circumstance.
Other job responsibilities as determined by the Program Director or Founders when necessary.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with local resources for housing, substance use treatment, food assistance, mental health services, and other community services.
Passion for helping others and a commitment to community well-being.
Ability to work with individuals facing complex challenges with dignity and respect.
Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may have experienced significant trauma and hardship.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
Confident in using technology for documentation, communication, and data tracking.
Willingness to work atypical work hours, travel occasionally, and attend off-site community events or community partner meetings.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Valid operator's license
Experience in social work, case management, or a human services related field preferred.
Willingness to obtain a peer support certification if applicable is desired.
Knowledge of local community resources and systems of care is a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This position operates primarily within a fast-paced, community-facing office environment. The role routinely involves interaction with the public, use of standard office equipment (such as computers, phones, and printers), and occasional off-site visits to partner organizations or community events. The Resource Navigator must be able to:
Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds
Navigate a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including public service locations
Adapt to changing priorities and environments with professionalism and composure
