Residential Director

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year (DOE)

Position Overview
The Residential Director oversees the daily operations of the residential treatment program and sober living locations, ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and the organization's mission of providing high-quality, person-centered care. This role is responsible for managing staff, coordinating clinical and operational functions, maintaining compliance with licensing bodies, and fostering a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Direct and coordinate all residential services, including admissions, daily operations, and discharge planning, ensuring that client needs are met in a safe and structured environment.
Staff Supervision and Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise residential staff, including House Managers, and work with the Clinical Director to maintain CPSW coverage. Conduct regular performance evaluations and staff meetings to promote accountability and professional growth.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations (Joint Commission, BHSD standards). Maintain documentation, incident reports, and client records in accordance with agency policies and audit requirements.
Perform monthly Environment of Care checks at each location.
Coordinate repairs at properties with outside vendors.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clinical, nursing, and administrative departments to ensure seamless coordination of care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Client Care and Support: Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practices. Engage with clients as needed to support treatment adherence and address behavioral or safety concerns.
De-escalate situations involving client conflict.
Discharge clients for conduct detrimental to the program or other individuals treatment.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Services, Psychology, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health, residential, or substance abuse treatment setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure environments.
