Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Aides to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a memory care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and adhere to infection control standards Support residents' emotional well-being through social interaction and engagement

Requirements

Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home & community care preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care techniques Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Certification or training in first aid is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or behavioral management skills is advantageous Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required by the role Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment Ability to pass background checks as required by the facility Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some positions may include weekends or holidays depending on the facility's schedule
