We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Aides to provide high-quality care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a comfortable and respectful environment. Candidates with skills in personal care, medication administration, and behavior management are highly valued. Prior experience in nursing homes, home & community care, or group homes is preferred. Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support residents with mobility using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices as needed
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly using EMR systems
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks
Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff or supervisors
Assist with transportation for appointments or outings when required
Implement behavior management techniques for residents with dementia or developmental disabilities
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure resident safety at all times
Skills
Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and senior care best practices
Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism
Familiarity with medication administration and vital signs monitoring
Experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral challenges
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
Ability to operate EMR systems accurately for documentation purposes
Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents using Hoyer lifts or other equipment
Knowledge of safety procedures related to caregiving environments
Valid driver's license is a plus for transportation duties
