We are seeking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our specialty departments.
Any VTS in these specialties are highly sought after. If you are an RVT looking to advance to gain your VTS, we are here to help!

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician for our Surgery and Anesthesia Department to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients undergoing anesthesia procedures.
RVT Skills for Specialty Departments
Anesthesia & Sedation
Induction of anesthesia
Endotracheal intubation and airway management
Set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of anesthesia machines
Set-up and use of anesthesia monitoring equipment (ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure)
Monitoring anesthetic parameters and recognizing complications
Maintaining detailed anesthetic records
Safe patient recovery from anesthesia or sedation
Monitoring patient sedations
CRI (constant rate infusion) calculations and setup
Accurate drug calculations and conversions
Patient Preparation & Surgical Assistance
Aseptic patient preparation and clipping with correct surgical margins
Proper patient positioning for surgical procedures
Draping-in patients following sterile technique
Opening and managing surgical packs
Knowledge of common surgical instruments
Scrubbing in and assisting surgeons during procedures
Comfort with surgical field, tissue handling, and hemorrhage control
Basic understanding of surgical procedures and terminology
Pulling surgical packs ahead of time and knowledge of central sterile processing
Technical Skills
Venipuncture (peripheral and jugular)
Intravenous, arterial, and intraosseous catheter placement
Administration of IV, IM, SQ, and oral medications
Injections and fluid therapy techniques
Obtaining and processing blood, urine, and other samples
Patient restraint and low-stress handling
Imaging & Diagnostics
Obtaining orthopedic and standard radiographs with proper positioning
Strict adherence to radiation safety protocols
Knowledge of imaging equipment including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and arthroscopy
Ability to assist with advanced diagnostics (echocardiograms, CSF taps, endoscopy prep)
Client & Team Communication
Communicating effectively using correct medical terminology
Explaining procedures, discharges, and home care instructions clearly to clients
Collaborating closely with specialty doctors, technicians, and support staff
Qualifications:
Certified as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, independently and under instruction.
Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocating for the well-being of animals.
Ability to be pro-active
Must be reliable
Have a good understanding of asepsis, comfortable with anesthesia or willing to become comfortable with anesthesia
Be available for on-call duties to assist with emergency surgical procedures
Familiarity with Smartflow, Ezy-Vet is preferred, but not required.
