Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

The Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) is seeking a compassionate Registered Veterinarian Technician (RVT) who has experience in providing high quality care to animals in need. Surgeries in our onsite, veterinary clinic focus primarily on spaying and neutering and on procedures that aim to improve overall quality of life.

This position is Monday-Friday. No weekends or on call.

The ideal candidate has graduated from a school of veterinary technology (2- or 4-year degree) and currently holds a Maryland State Veterinary Technician License. The candidate has a minimum of one-year experience as an RVT and an interest in quality, efficiency, and growth. Preference given to candidates who have worked in an animal shelter setting or in a HQHV spay/neuter clinic.

As an employee, you'll receive:

o $3,000 sign on bonus ($1,500 paid after first 90 days of employment; $1,500 paid at one year of employment)

o Competitive pay between $19.50/hour to $24.00/hour, commiserate with training and experience
