We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive clinical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of various medical specialties. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and maintaining high standards of patient care across diverse departments. The Registered Nurse Manager will play a vital role in coordinating patient assessments, medical documentation, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal health outcomes.
Duties
Lead and supervise nursing staff.
Oversee patient care activities such as vital signs assessment, physical examinations, medication administration, IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile processing.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA protocols related to infection control.
Manage documentation and ensure accuracy in medical records and coding.
Facilitate discharge planning and case management for diverse patient populations including those with dementia or developmental disabilities.
Conduct patient assessments involving physiology knowledge and pain management strategies including acute pain management protocols.
Participate in utilization review and utilization management to optimize resource use while maintaining quality standards.
Provide staff training on specialized procedures .
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols during procedures.
Supervise clinical workflows ensuring efficient patient intake processes and accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications
Valid RN license with current registration in the state of employment.
Extensive clinical experience.
Proven leadership experience in nurse management or supervisory roles; familiarity with managing teams in complex healthcare environments.
Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing techniques.
Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
Excellent communication skills for effective team management and patient interactions; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
