Job Description

Our client is a fastener manufacturing and distribution company that is looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to join our team in Carol Stream. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our quality assurance and control processes to ensure that our products meet or exceed customer expectations.

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure that our products meet or exceed industry standards
• Conduct regular quality audits of production processes and materials to ensure compliance with our quality standards
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints and product returns
• Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and sales, to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Manage a team of quality assurance professionals and provide leadership and guidance on quality-related matters
• Ensure that all employees are properly trained on quality control procedures and processes
• Maintain and update quality-related documentation, including product specifications, inspection records, and quality reports
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to quality control and make recommendations to management on new initiatives

• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or a related field
• Direct fastener experience greatly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and procedures, including ISO 9001 standards
• Experience managing a team of quality assurance professionals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
