The City of Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Program Manager in the supply group of the Water Section. This is a full-time, benefited position working Under the general direction of the Water Section Manager or Water Field Supervisor over Supply. The Public Works Program Manager is responsible for the completion of specific duties related to one or more of the following areas of responsibility: water tanks, water wells, backflow prevention, pressure regulation, water quality, or other relevant areas. Applicants should have considerable knowledge of the standards, principles, practices, techniques, regulations, and codes relevant to this position. Demonstrates ability to resolve a variety of problems within the assigned area. Uses discretion within government regulations and established guidelines. Works closely with Section Manager, Field Supervisor, and other city employees. May supervise and train others who are involved in the program or perform program-related duties. Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in water, street, or parks operations with some knowledge of the assigned area (related education may be substituted for some experience).
• Grade IV Water Distribution Certification preferred.
• Must maintain a valid Driver\'s License.
  

Salary & Benefits


The current salary range for Public Works Program Managers is $23.53 to $35.30 hourly ($48,947 to $73,421 annually). Individual starting salary may depend on experience and education.
