with a background in commercial construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in managing construction with a particular focus on renovations. Experience with federal aircraft hangar construction is a plus. The Project Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Oversee the entire construction process from pre-construction through to completion.
Direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Lead daily construction site meetings to review schedules, budget, safety protocols, and any issues requiring resolution.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Monitor and enforce the implementation of safety policies, conducting regular site inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the highest quality construction standards are met.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
Track project progress and adjust schedules as needed to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Approve all invoices and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution of issues.
Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
Report regularly on project status, issues, and risks, offering proactive solutions to resolve challenges.
Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded, delivering high-quality results and maintaining a positive relationship.
Qualifications - Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field experience preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, OSHA, Project Management Professional) a plus
Qualifications - Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction on projects valued over $5M
Proven track record in delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to specifications
Qualifications - Skills & Knowledge:
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Expertise in project management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk, Primavera).
Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices, particularly in aquatic environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse teams and working with various stakeholders
