The Construction Project Superintendent is responsible for the on-site coordination, field supervision, and field management of all construction activities. This role ensures the project is built on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and design specifications. Superintendent serves as the primary point of contact at the job site for subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Field supervises all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, safety plans, and quality control.
Coordinate daily operations among subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field workers.
Field monitoring of construction progress and preparing detailed daily logs, weekly reports, and schedule updates through Procore.
Enforce in the field all job site safety and OSHA compliance requirements.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Lead site meetings and communicate project milestones to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify in the field potential issues and proactively resolve them in collaboration with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Inspect work for compliance with plans, codes, and specifications.
Manage equipment, materials, deliveries, and site logistics.
Lead all coordination with the municipality, local, and federal agencies in the diligence of obtaining any necessary permit, approval, and any payment required from the company to the municipality and/or any local and federal agency.
Support project closeout procedures, including punch list management and final inspections.
Majority of time spent in the field, on active construction sites; exposure to weather and site conditions.
May require weekend or extended hours based on project timelines.
Communicate in both Spanish and English.
Job Requirements:
1. Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field
(preferred).
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
Valid driver's license.
2. Experience
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, with at least 4 years in a field supervisory role.
Proven track record in managing commercial, residential, or industrial projects
(specify depending on company focus).
Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Familiarity with local building codes, permits, and inspection processes.
3. Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
Strong knowledge in project scheduling.
Strong knowledge in Procore.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and compliance requirements.
4. Leadership & Management Skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise field personnel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
Proven ability to enforce safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
