Job Description


GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Reporting directly to the Senior Grant Administrator for the Lurie Center for Autism and under general direction of the Scientific Director, the Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative oversight of research projects throughout the Project Management Lifecycle of the Lurie Center for Autism.

The Lurie Center for Autism integrates comprehensive clinical care with advanced, cross-disciplinary research to improve outcomes for people with autism spectrum disorder across the lifespan; its research focuses on identifying the causes of autism and developing new models of prevention and treatment. The Center\xe2\x80\x99s translational research program has hubs in Lexington, Charlestown Navy Yard, and the MGH main campus.

This Project Coordinator is a hybrid position based at our Lexington site.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the administrative aspects of the life cycle of federal, foundation, philanthropic and state funded research projects, including pre and post award functions, sub-contractor and vendor set-up and maintenance within the program\xe2\x80\x99s financial portfolio.
  • Assist with preparation of grant applications including development, collection and review of required supporting documents (e.g., PI letters of support, publication lists, bios), and submission of application related materials.
  • Create and manage datasets in Redcap and other systems; including quality control and integrity assurance of all research data.
  • Manage Oncore and other MGB required systems for Lurie Center projects, including follow-up on entries and cross-checking of coordinator entered data.
  • Develop, maintain and manage trackers for multiple Lurie Center systems (e.g., applicant, receivables, supply).
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and IRB regulations.
  • Adhere to study timelines and deliverables, support generation of sponsor required and PI requested progress and financial reports.
  • Maintain monthly budget reports, tracking revenue and expenditures.
  • Review clinical trial protocols and other potential projects to determine viability of project for Center; develop estimates of timelines and budgets based on protocol analysis.
  • Manage supply cycle with ordering, tracking and invoicing.
  • Create and manage clinician contracts using MGB required systems.
  • Perform administrative support duties for PIs as requested and approved by Senior Grant Administrator/Scientific Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to appropriately handle and maintain sensitive/confidential information and ensure confidentiality guidelines are maintained.
  • Judgment and ability to understand, interpret and implement protocol requirements
  • Knowledge of billing and milestones
  • Accurate insight into FDA requirements for clinical trials.
  • Understanding of regulations and other requirements for external funding from federal and non-federal foundations.
EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required. Preferred: At least two years of research experience conducting research in an academic setting. Some of this experience may be during undergraduate years.
