Mobile Communications America, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Accountant for our growing Security division. The Project Accountant is remote within the GA area. The candidate will work closely with Operations, Project Managers, and the finance team. The position requires strong communication and process management skills, keen attention to detail, and a solid background in accounting and finance. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Responsible for capturing, analyzing, and forecasting, revenues, costs, assets and liabilities associated with specific projects.
  • Prepare projects in a timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual manner.
  • Review with project teams the monthly project statements to ensure costs and results are properly reflected, noting substantial variances from budget.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for project revenues, expenses, accruals, and related account analyses to complete the monthly close on a timely basis
  • Assist with the completion of monthly management reports, including Flash reporting and business monthly reviews by providing timely, accurate detailed accounting records as it relates to projects and at the consolidated level.
  • Provides assistance and a resource for accounts payable to ensure costs are properly classified by project.
  • Prepare financial statements throughout and at the end for each project
  • Fully support the annual audit with project data reports.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience in use of NetSuite/Oracle ERP system a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • High level of competence with Excel and a good working knowledge of Word and Power Point
  • Flexible and adaptable personality with the ability to multitask and a keen attention to detail
  • Possesses strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated team player and a can-do attitude who takes a collaborative approach, strives for excellence and acts with integrity
