Project Accountant POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant for our Power Delivery Project Services Group in Midwest and Southeast regions. The Project Accountant works closely with Project Managers in the financial management of projects. The ideal candidate has intermediate accounting knowledge, can interact with key members of the project team, and requires little supervision.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

Specifically, the PMA handles everything involving the financial side of the project including, project initiation, budgets, expenditure tracking, invoicing, status reports, management of unbilled costs, purchase requisitions, percent complete updates, accounts receivable, accruals, etc. The individual will also work with Project Managers on contracts, subcontracts, and change order documents. Decision-making skills, the ability to work in a team environment, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and exercise good judgment are required to successfully handle these responsibilities. The individual should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, have a client service attitude, as well as strong organization, communication, and document coordination skills. The PMA will work in Microsoft Dynamics.

Required Education/Experience

  • Six (6) or more years of related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of an ERP system or accounting software
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Willing to work both independently and as part of a team

Desired Education/Experience

  • Degree in business, accounting, or finance is preferred
  • ERP experience is preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents is preferred
  • Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) is preferred

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us! DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $43,680.00 - $72,800.00 annually; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate\'s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
