Job Description


The Program Manager of the Connecting Adults to Professions and Education (C.A.P.E.) Program will work within the Meharry Center for Health Policy to assist with the administrative aspects of the program. This position will be the front-facing position for the C.A.P.E. program and will serve as the main contact and liaison between students, staff, local agencies, and community partners. This position will work with the C.A.P.E. staff to execute the programmatic goals outlined in Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Grant. This grant funded position reports directly to the Program Director.

Daily Operations

  • Assist with daily operations of the program to include but not limited to phone, email correspondence, data entry, reporting, and fiscal tasks.
  • Serve as the liaison between the main office staff and part-time staff.
  • Oversee and manage all marketing aspects of the program (i.e., social media and website).
  • Assist in the preparation of documents and reports.
  • Must be able to multi-task, and focus with composure, in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills in oral and written form.
  • Thorough knowledge of office administration (including office machines and equipment, and computer software)
  • Oversee program assessment and processes for improvement.
  • Coordinate new student orientation and assist with student onboarding into the program.
  • Facilitate pre and post-tests that properly reflect student educational and skill levels.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of student records to ensure accuracy of all applicable state and federal reports.
  • Participate in professional development trainings and bi-weekly staff meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data entry and business management skills.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) year\xe2\x80\x99s relevant experience.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
