Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, including quality and cost. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accomplish weekly production goals.
• Conduct hiring interviews.
• Document job performance and write employee evaluations.
• Approve vacation requests.
• Submit requests for additional resources.
• Recommend and deliver disciplinary action with the assistance of another manager.
• Evaluate capacity needs.
• Coach, mentor and train teams.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, monitor WIP and rework levels
• Assist with new product introduction.
• Audit work procedures and ISO procedures.
• Monitor process indicators.
• Monitor progress of team metrics.

Education: Bachelor\'s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Certification(s): MSC-0011-001, Train-the-Trainer and CPIM are preferred

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to lift weight or exert force up to 50 pounds. The employee in this position works in an environment where they may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, there is a risk of electrical shock, and there is vibration. The employee may be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals, may be subject to higher noise levels, or work near moving mechanical parts.
