Job Description




The Mass Affluent segment is responsible for the Chase Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, Slate Edge, and related products that deliver cash back rewards and payment flexibility to Chase\'s customers. This role supports product analysts and helps co-creates with colleague, customers, technology, products, etc. to write user stories for initiatives that will become a marketing product or product feature for the Mass Affluent segment.

As an associate product analyst on the segment\'s product team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of initiatives and user stories as well as managing deliverables associated with on-going work in the team. You will develop over time functional business knowledge and a technical understanding of products, platforms, operations, and servicing for the segment\'s products. You will ensure business requirements and work meet readiness definitions and own certain aspects and experiences within the product team.

You will develop a strong network of product owners and stakeholders who will help you analyze and design technical requirements that enable the segment\'s credit card products to innovate and deliver on customer expectations. This includes managing a healthy backlog of initiatives as they are groomed and move through the discovery and delivery phases. Your ability to build relationships across the matrix will help you succeed in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Support readiness and definition of business requirements of features/capabilities across the wider product while also having opportunity to directly own certain parts of the product suite and application experience
  • Partner with engineers, architects, and Product Owners across multiple functional areas within and beyond Card Product.
  • Responsible for collaboration with product owners and stakeholders on the creation of the product strategy and vision including technical requirement analysis, definition, and execution of business goals
  • Assist the management and refinement of the product backlog in JIRA to drive value in accordance with business stakeholder priorities
  • Support initiative elaboration sessions, helping to identify, coordinate, sequence and secure dependencies on other product teams and ensure sprint alignment
  • Maintain an ongoing deep knowledge and documentation of customer and user experience journeys to ensure and validate that client/customer and user problems are solved by partnering with technology, design and analytics stakeholders.
  • Develop, verify & validate end-to-end testing lifecycle support & outcomes
  • Partner with testing teams to ensure high quality of execution on all implemented initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • 2+ years of business analysis or relevant product experience as well as record of individual technical achievement
  • Strong business analysis, business management and project management skillset to get broader exposure to managing a product end to end.
  • Able to analyze opportunities, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively (both verbal and written) to all levels of management
  • Experience with or track record of delivery and new product feature creation
  • Drive process improvements in program execution through operational efficiencies
  • Consumer lending or related product experience strongly preferred
  • Be respectful & promote diversity and inclusion
  • Collaborate with project managers across the organization to identify best practices and reinforce those techniques through establishment of processes and ceremonies
  • Have strong organization and time management capabilities under pressure
  • Have an eye for detail with impeccable notes and records to support your work
  • Experience with large, matrixed organizations and an ability to partner and work across multiple group
