A Process Piping Engineer or Senior Hydrogen Engineer is needed for a leading Engineering and Design Firm. As a specialist in fuel gas piping and process design, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing hydrogen and natural gas piping systems, process piping systems, and various other piping installations both above and below grade. A deep understanding of piping specifications, code requirements, welding, and protective coating requirements is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate for the Process Piping Engineer/ Senior Hydrogen Engineer position should possess a Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, along with 8+ years\' of relevant experience in fuel gas (hydrogen and natural gas) and process piping design. Professional Engineering registration is mandatory, and proficiency in pipe flow and stress modeling is essential.

responsibilities:

  • Design and layout of hydrogen and natural gas piping systems with safety and venting considerations
  • Develop process piping systems, conducting hydraulic analysis and heat/material balances
  • Conduct computer modeling to ensure efficiency and integrity of piping systems
  • Participate in utility system design, including compressor, heat exchange, and pumping systems
  • Demonstrate expertise in metallurgy, hydrogen embrittlement, and dehydration considerations for storage
  • Specify and procure necessary equipment for projects and provide technical support during start-up and commissioning of hydrogen, fuel gas, and process piping systems; Collaborate with the design team, reviewing and managing their output for high-quality project documentation
