The Principal Analyst, HR Analytics serves as the go-to person for our HR team and the business on HR reporting and analytics, and is responsible for the implementation of the HR analytics strategies across the Electronic Systems business segment at BAE Systems, Inc. While this role will support a variety of HR and workforce analytics requests, the primary focus is on analysis efforts related to core talent processes (recruiting, succession, development) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts \xe2\x80\x93 helping us to both monitor and provide proactive research and insights to inform the health of and focus areas related to our BAE ES talent strategies.

The role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, HR Analytics. This position is a can be a fully remote (with travel expectations) or a hybrid role based at any of our major Electronic Systems locations: Nashua, NH (and surrounding area); Cedar Rapids, IA; Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; Fort Wayne, IN. Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position can be conducted 100% remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR and people metrics and reporting capabilities for the business, including actionable insights on topics such as attrition, attraction, development, engagement and retention that support the strategic direction of the business.
  • Consulting with HR teammates and business leaders on their challenges and how we can assess or analyze those challenges through the lens of workforce & HR data
  • Build and maintain easy-to-consume analytics solutions and reports with a focus on synthesizing and providing actionable insights
  • Define new and innovative approaches to evaluating & mitigating workforce trends and business challenges that mature the value of HR to the business.
  • Work closely with HR centers of expertise to understand HR processes, identify data needs, gather requirements and prioritize projects to drive improvement.
  • Develop data and analytics competencies across the HR function through targeted training, education and change management.
  • Maintain HR data integrity and governance and drive a culture of respecting employee data and maintaining appropriate use and access.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 4+ years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 8+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience working with, consulting on, and thoughtfully stewarding the appropriate use of potentially sensitive employee data
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. BAE Systems, Inc. will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working for a government defense contractor.
  • Preferred location is one of the major Electronic Systems locations: Nashua, NH (and surrounding area); Cedar Rapids, IA; Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; Fort Wayne, IN. Hybrid with a mix of on-site and remote presence. If not local to one of the areas, this position can be worked remote with travel.
  • Strong business acumen along with analytical and logical reasoning skills
