Position Qualification

Position Summary

The Department of Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in a federally-funded laboratory. Applicants must have an MD, PhD, or equivalent. The research will utilize large animal (porcine) models of vascular diseases. No prior experience with swine handling is required. The projects will be directed by Dr. Jason MacTaggart. An emphasis will be placed on laboratory technical expertise, scientific experimental design, problem-solving abilities, collaborative skills, communication skills (written and oral), and grantsmanship.
