What We Want

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for the design, synthesis, and evaluation of hydrogen electrocatalysis and magnetic properties, inorganic/synthesis and characterization. The Postdoc will make presentations of research results and participate in group meetings. This position will also act as a mentor to graduate and undergraduate students. Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate\xe2\x80\x99s education and experience.

Schedule: May require working evening and/or weekend hours.

Required Education and Experience:

Appropriate PhD.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to contribute to team effort by working effectively with individuals from various backgrounds

Preferred Education and Experience:

PhD in Chemistry

Responsibilities:

Experimental Laboratory Research: Experimental laboratory research work in the fields of hydrogen electrocatalysis and magnetic properties, inorganic/synthesis, and characterization.

Professional Development: Attends scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement and stays up to date on scientific research. Makes presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues. Mentors graduate and undergraduate student(s) in their related research efforts and aids in the preparation of manuscripts, proposals, and presentations.

Scientific Data: Participates in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings. Prepares manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations, and grant proposals.

Organizational Compliance and Safety: Provides advice and assistance to other laboratory team members. Acts as a mentor to students. Maintains laboratory instrumentation and follows applicable safety standards.
