Description

The purpose of this class is to ensure each detainee receives the opportunity for a fair and affordable bond amount. Once a personal bond is approved, appropriate documents are completed in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Investigates and prepares bond documents.
  • Interviews inmates during jail intake regarding the inmate\'s finances.
  • Reviews bond amounts set by courts using written guidelines.
  • Investigates and interviews arrestees to determine if they qualify for pre-trial release.
  • Reviews, tracks and submits listings of all misdemeanor inmates who qualify for pretrial release but lack the ability to pay required fees.
  • Responds to queries regarding release through the pre-trial agency.
  • Investigates and prepares bond documents.
  • Reviews all bonds posted by other investigators.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Requires six months of experience in social work, human resources customer service or closely related experience. Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance
