We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Duties
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning routines to promote hygiene and comfort
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities
Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition meticulously for accurate record-keeping
Follow established care plans developed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent and personalized support
Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Assist with light housekeeping tasks within the resident's environment to maintain a safe living space
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Comply with all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures during emergencies or incidents
Support hospice or end-of-life care needs with sensitivity, compassion, and respect for residents' wishes
Qualifications
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring required
Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia enhances suitability for this role
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
Compassionate attitude combined with patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
