As a member of the People Team, reporting to the Sr. Director of People Ops, the People Ops Generalist will be a key operational partner to the Shippo People team.

The ideal candidate:

- Will have the ability to thrive in a face-paced environment with quickly changing business needs

- Possess strong business insight and judgment, team orientation, and collaborative style

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong time management, attention to detail, and reliability

Shipping & handling responsibilities:

• Proactively push out monthly department metrics, including but not limited to: new hires, attrition, manager changes, and diversity
• Ability to manipulate and consolidate data from different sources to answer business questions and track trends over time

• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law
• Review and build policies and practices to maintain business compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and partner with expansion for new state regulations, incorporating into policies when applicable
• Help develop compliant, scalable, HR policies and processes that shape the employee lifecycle
• Compile HR data and metrics from the human resource information system (HRIS)
• Manage the implementation and administration of compensation programs
• Manage our HRIS systems including HR, benefits and payroll inputs
• Manage all benefits administration and open enrollments
• Build internal knowledge base for HR workflows
• Manage all state and local reporting workflows
• Conduct or assist with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as needed

Requirements

Do you tick the boxes?

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a HR Operations Generalist / Analyst role
• Advanced skills using Excel and Google Sheets with a love of data
• Strong consulting, communication and presentation skills
• Experience managing an HRIS
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities; skilled problem solver who can collaborate and communicate with internal partners and clients on all levels
• Startup experience helpful, but not required
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or equivalent practical experience

Our Compensation Shippolicy:

We believe compensation is a custom experience and are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min $107k to a max $145k annual salary. We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range with most offers that we make. Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippo \xe2\x80\x9cpackage\xe2\x80\x9d section.
