POSITION: Payroll Specialist II

LOCATION: Hybrid schedule; Wilsonville, OR

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

PAY: $28.00-$32.00 per hour, D.O.E. + quarterly/annual performance bonuses based on branch/company performance

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist II. This position will be responsible for payroll processes for the company\xe2\x80\x99s bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-site and multi-state payroll for 900+ associates. This position will perform a wide variety of payroll activities, including maintaining payroll records with accuracy, reviewing and auditing payroll records, researching, and continuing education. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented person who is excited about working with a small team, has excellent communication skills, and has a solid understanding of payroll procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Process full cycle multi-state payroll operations related to exempt/salaried employees with a high level of accuracy, including compensation, benefits, new hires, and terminations within the ADP Workforce Now payroll system.
  • Perform internal verification and weekly internal audits of payroll functions for data and compliance accuracy to ensure timely deliverables and quality for downstream payroll, HR, and accounting departments.
  • Assist in researching multi-state reporting requirements and wage and hour laws where the company provides employment to ensure compliance.
  • Research payroll issues/discrepancies and process necessary corrections.
  • Run custom reports that will provide key metrics and reporting to management.
  • Assist with trainings or facilitate meetings as requested by management.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field and 3+ years working experience with full cycle payroll for a minimum of 300+ associates; or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all applicable payroll processes, procedures, and state and Federal laws.
  • Experience with a third party payroll service (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have strong knowledge of relational databases and complex formulas in MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and demands.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with teammates and various levels of management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with others.
