Duties and Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Supervise payroll processing team. \xc2\xb7 Develop tools and reports which ensure the accuracy and reconciliation of the payroll process to the time reporting process. \xc2\xb7 Prepare and present reports to payroll management upon request. \xc2\xb7 Support internal and external audit requests related to payroll records. \xc2\xb7 Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records. \xc2\xb7 Perform other payroll related duties, including ad hoc projects/data requests as needed. \xc2\xb7 Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses. \xc2\xb7 Process high volume payroll in a multi-state corporate environment \xc2\xb7 Establish and ensure accuracy of federal, state, and local taxes, social security contributions, employee benefit contributions, fringe benefits, garnishments, and other deductions of employee paychecks. \xc2\xb7 Assist with balancing of payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. \xc2\xb7 Audit employee time and labor data submitted by various offices and interact with supervisors as required to verify data and resolve discrepancies. \xc2\xb7 Analyze and respond to inquiries from employees regarding paycheck amounts, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and other concerns. \xc2\xb7 Pull various payroll reports from HCM system. \xc2\xb7 Maintain notification processes to employees and managers, resolves employee access issues and other questions accurately. \xc2\xb7 Drive documentation of maintenance of payroll procedure documentation. \xc2\xb7 Balancing, auditing, and controlling earnings and deduction totals. \xc2\xb7 Determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions. \xc2\xb7 Assisting with preparation and filing of tax reports. \xc2\xb7 Gathering payroll data for inclusion in financial statements and audits. \xc2\xb7 Researching and preparing special reports for management. \xc2\xb7 Calculating special pay. \xc2\xb7 Lead, train, and mentor less experienced payroll staff. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with high volume payroll, data entry, support in maintaining payroll support systems, account reconciliations, and general office responsibilities. \xc2\xb7 FCP or CPP Certification highly preferred \xc2\xb7 Extensive knowledge of federal & state laws related to payroll and tax compliance \xc2\xb7 Experience in Multi-state payroll processing \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet (advanced skillset required) \xc2\xb7 Experience with HRIS/ HCM systems and auditing of systems \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of company payroll personnel policies and procedures. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of federal & state laws related to paying employees. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of accounting concepts especially related to payroll. \xc2\xb7 Coaching, organization, and customer service skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment \xc2\xb7 Ability to assess situations or inquiries with detail and forward thinking. \xc2\xb7 An eagerness to find solutions and better processes while continuing to educate oneself in payroll knowledge and problem solving. \xc2\xb7 Ability to be a team player and assist with all aspects of Payroll or HRIS where needed \xc2\xb7 Coaching, organization, and customer service skills.
