COMPENSATION (WIP): $150K salary, 50% on-target bonus, full benefits

About the Role:
We are looking for individuals with deep expertise in K12 education, specifically in the fields of consulting, surveys and diagnostics, and curriculum, combined with demonstrated success in business development to join our Partner Team. This team is responsible for expanding the impact of Scholarus Learning portfolio companies through new customer acquisitions, as well as customer retention and expansion. Individuals with an existing network of K12 school district leaders and/or are able to contribute thought leadership to further develop the Scholarus Learning portfolio companies are preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new and existing relationships with K12 district and school leaders that ultimately generate a pipeline of $3-4M in business develop opportunities
  • Close $1M+ in new business annually and retain at least an additional $1-2M in revenue annually
  • Lead project teams to ensure high quality delivery of products and services and customer satisfaction
  • Provide guidance and direction to service and product delivery teams in order to deliver on complex projects
  • Attend and present at conferences and other networking events to grow excitement and knowledge about the Scholarus Learning portfolio companies and build new partnerships and relationships
  • Partner with marketing and lead generation teams to drive growth
  • Write custom proposals and scopes of work that combine multiple products and services across the Scholarus Learning portfolio
  • Anticipate market trends and demands and adjust business development strategies as needed
  • Develop and execute business development strategies for new markets (such a s new geographic areas and new buyer types, like state DOEs)


Skills/Experience
  • Exceptional skills as a communicator and synthesizer, working across a broad spectrum of experience and expertise
  • Effective decision-maker, ability to analyze diverse inputs and develop action plans align to goals
  • Excellent presentation skills including the use of Power Point and Excel to communicate business strategies
  • Collaboration across different departments and services within the company to align and prioritize efforts
  • Excels at asking questions to understand root causes of school district challenges and to effectively prescribe appropriate solutions from the Scholarus Learning portfolio
  • Exemplary project management skills
  • Confidence working with all levels of leadership
  • Detail-oriented and focused on high quality outputs
  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver
  • Knowledge of the K12 education sector, with 7+ years of experience leading projects in a school or district environment preferred
  • Experienced in education consulting, surveys and diagnostics, and/or content and curriculum
  • Director or partner level at comparable firm preferred
  • Willingness to travel 40%
