Job Description
The City of Valley Police Department is soliciting applications for dedicated and community-focused individuals to join our team as a Part Time Police Officer. Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce laws and ordinances Respond promptly to calls for service, including emergencies, accidents, and incidents Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports Engage with community members to build trust and promote public safety Participate in community outreach programs and events Collaborate with local agencies and organizations to address community concerns Maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity at all times
Qualifications:
Must already be certified to work as a Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Nebraska
Law Enforcement Certification must be in good standing with Nebraska Crime Commission High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or a related field is a plus Valid driver's license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards
