Job Summary The Painter is responsible for executing painting projects, touch-ups, and overall painting maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house by remaining up to date on techniques, methods, multi-surface knowledge, and equipment usage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Properly prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, and/or removing old paint.
• Properly and thoroughly prepare surrounding area(s) by covering with drop cloth, cardboard runners, or painter\xe2\x80\x99s plastic to prevent messes and thoroughly clean and tidy up areas when completed. Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
• Keep up to date on current techniques and methods, including utilization of equipment.
• Apply a variety of finishes on surfaces ranging from concrete to drywall including but not limited to taping, texturing, drywall repairs/patches, stains, and paint in multiple colors.
• Maintain and control inventory through established pars for all necessary tools and equipment; advise supervisor of any supplies needed by conducting regular inventory checks.

• Demonstrates strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, while exercising good judgment.
• Is dependable and demonstrates an outstanding attendance record and is punctual.

• Less than high school education; or 2 - 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior hotel or commercial property experience is a plus.
• Intermediate English- verbal (preferred).
• Knowledge and experience in wood stain, paint texture, and color matching.
• Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed.
