The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring for a full-time Painter to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas . As a Painter, you will carry out routine maintenance tasks, like painting interior and exterior areas, and assist the groundskeeping team with the upkeep of the property. You will play an important role in the guest satisfaction and experience during their stay at Southland Casino.

Minimum pay rate: $19.24 / hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to be painted; remove old paint, wash, and fill holes with putty.
• Paint surfaces needing attention throughout the property using a range of brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Apply various finishes, primers, or sealers to interior and exterior surfaces once painted.
• Ensure the working area is kept safe and clean in line with company regulations and policies.
• Assist the groundskeeping team with tasks when required.
• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year painting experience for a commercial facility required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must possess a valid state driver\'s license.
• Experience with wallpaper is preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand, crouch, and climb a ladder to perform various types of manual labor.
• Regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals
