Job Summary

This is an in-office position that provides support to the logistics team by creating and sending booking requests and shipment instructions to exporting carriers. Update and maintain outbound loading schedule, enter new accounts in export module and continuously monitor rates. Coordination of FCL from our facility to customers, including scheduling, routing, track/trace. Assist in bookings, rate validations, rate negotiations and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all Plant City export shipments. Evaluate freight pricing, create and send booking requests to the ocean carriers. Direct contact with Sales, Warehouse, and Merchandising to coordinate loads.
• Communicate with Ocean Carriers and trucking companies. Rates verification, validation and rate negotiation. File electronic customs paperwork for all outbound shipments. Send prelims and final shipping instructions to ocean carriers as needed.
• Follow up on Container issues daily.
• Update calendars, folder, and approval/weekly report

Experience

• 2 years in office setting required

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor\'s Degree preferred
