Opus Concert Cafe is seeking individuals to help provide a phenomenal bar experience to our patrons at events and concerts. Opus Concert Cafe hosts several concerts and events throughout the year, spanning genres from jazz to chamber orchestra.

Responsibilities

Welcoming customers, reading, and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders Pouring alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar patrons Checking customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register Maintaining a clean work and concert area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment Complying with all food and beverage regulations

Requirements and skills

Previous bartending and customer service experience a plus Must have a high school diploma Must be able to operate/learn a digital Point-Of-Sale system (Square) Must meet state minimum age to serve alcohol. Must have the availability to work nights and weekends Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills Must have strong task and time management abilities. Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift boxes up to 40 lbs. The ideal candidate has a positive and engaging personality, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and presents a professional appearance while on the job Passion for music and the arts a plus
