The OPS Employment Security Representative I will provide direct workforce services to career seekers through placement services, and referral to supportive services based upon needs determined. DEO is a fast paced working environment in which critical thinking and prioritizing are a must.

Martin County is a county located in the Treasure Coast region of the state of Florida, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 146,318. Its county seat is Stuart. Martin County is in the Port St. Lucie, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. Encompassing the communities of Port Salerno, Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Indiantown, Jupiter Island, Hobe Sound, Sewall\'s Point, Rio and Hutchinson Island, Martin County serves up beautiful beaches and more than 77 parks - not to mention the most bio-diverse lagoon ecosystem in the Northern hemisphere, the St. Lucie Inlet. Job Responsibilities

This is an OPS Employment Security Representative I position.

• Provide Orientation on Workforce services and information on center programs, partners, available resources and services.
• Provide assistance to career seekers who are in need of additional program services to include assistance with resume preparation, job search assistance, skills testing, etc.
• Screen and refer career seekers to job openings, provide information on training opportunities, labor market information, career information and other related services.
• Provide information and engage clients in order to determine appropriate needs, partner programs and other agencies for supportive services available in the local workforce area. Make referrals to these services as necessary.
• Manage the Career Center\'s Pending Referrals List and ensure results are recorded within 48 hours.
• Refer clients to appropriate programs and/or services, administration of basic skills and other skills tests in order to qualify clients for referral to job orders, etc.
• Perform other related duties as required in a \xe2\x80\x9cseamless\xe2\x80\x9d service delivery area including branch office, itinerant location or out stationed sites.
• Source candidate and conducts follow up on job orders.

Pre-Employment Requirement:

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state and national law enforcement records.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma with 2 years customer service experience.
• The incumbent must possess or obtain certification as a Workforce Professional Tier 1 within one year of employment in the position.
