Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operations Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will work direct under the supervision of the vice chair of operations and the operations manager. The position is responsible for assisting the departmental operations team in the department of radiation oncology. A highly organized and tasked oriented position that takes the lead in any project related to the operational needs of the department. The operation coordinator reports to the departmental administrator but works closely with the medical director, vice chair of operations, operations manager, technical operations manager, physician faculty and other clinical faculty. This person will also assist in maintaining the QA/QI database, assist in organizing meetings and initiative, as well as the HRO initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the operations manager in the day to day operations of the department, which include all locations of radiation oncology at NYU Langone health.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by operations manager, vice chair of operations or administrator.
  • Serves as backup for other operation manager as needed.
  • collaborates with departmental leaders the quality and safety and patient experience initiatives.
  • Assist the operational manager with management of the QA/QI database and organize meetings to review the data.
  • Schedules meetings and assist with projects related to process improvement, ARIA, EPIC and other initiatives.
  • assist Operations Manager with compilation, classification, reconciliation and consolidation of relevant data from varied sources; provides timely reports on routine data, trends and variances to appropriate parties.
  • Assist operations manager, VC of operations and administrator with faculty attendance, schedules and sick time changes.
  • Works with administrator and operations manager to resolves all operational complaints and problems using independent judgment and decision making skills to ensure patient satisfaction and adherence to hospital and practice standards
  • Assist the VC and Operations manager to ensure proper continuity of care between the department\'s locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
  • Serve as an on-site resource to faculty for any administrative related tasks, eg non clinical meetings, room reservations, expense report submissions, etc.
  • Assist Operations manager to schedule meetings, create powerpoints and collect data for various projects.
  • assist in updating, uploading, and management of policies and procedures to maintain standardization among all locations of NYU Langone Health.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

Must have a positive can-do attitude.
Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.
Must have excellent communication skills and comprehension of the English language.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Ability to work in a fast paced multi-physician practice environment. Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and patients. Strong analytical background and previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

Press Ganey experience preferred. Patient Satisfaction experience preferred. Strong analytical background and previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visio. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $88,400.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
