Summary \xe2\x80\x93 The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and support to new employees by coordinating all elements of the onboarding/pre-hire process. Responsibilities include helping new hires learn the company policies, scheduling start dates for new hires, and gathering the necessary paperwork. Essential Duties: Onboarding Coordinator

  • Crafts and sends comprehensive emails to new hires with information related to their orientation/on-boarding.
  • Welcomes new hires with prepared onboarding kits and sets up training rooms.
  • Facilitate all orientations \xe2\x80\x93 Blount orientations, Temporary employee orientations and NESP orientations.
  • Coordinates all on-boarding processes of new hires relative to pre-employment paperwork, background checks, drug screens and clearance of all hires.
  • Introduces new hires to their team members.
  • Provides new hires with manuals, guidelines, and passwords, as needed.
  • Details all new hires\' initial tasks and answering any queries.
  • Ensures new hires have the necessary technical assistance to set up their hardware and software.
  • Gathers, processes paperwork, and activates new hires in HRIS system (UKG)
  • Process and uploads all I-9 documentation
  • Works closely with Supervisors and Talent Acquisition, regarding progress of new hires. Communicates opportunities or trends and works with Talent Acquisition team on improvements.
  • Works in unison with counter associates, to achieve department and corporate goals by ensuring the successful circle of hiring, orienting, and onboarding of staff members.
  • Is a teacher and mentor in the commitment to staff\xe2\x80\x99s learning and development.
  • Attends trainings to keep updated with current hiring practices.
  • Commits to regular scheduled meetings with People First Team.
Education and/or Experience
  • 2-year degree or 4 years of \xe2\x80\x9ctraining/teaching\xe2\x80\x9d, personnel related, data collection, combination of education/work experience required.
  • This person should have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to multi-task, ambitious, and have a teacher and mentor mentality.
