Our local professional CPA firm is looking for an Office Administrator for our diversified small accounting office! Laughlin, Ogle, & Rodgers is a reputable Alaskan accounting firm dedicated to providing top-notch financial services to our clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team. This position has the opportunity to grow with our firm and expand your knowledge and experience within the accounting industry if desired. No prior tax or accounting knowledge is needed! As our Office Administrator, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with submitting their paperwork, ensuring forms are within IRS compliance, accepting payments, preparing deposits, answering phones, greeting clients at the front desk, and other duties as assigned. You will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in areas such as financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, and tax compliance if desired. Key Responsibilities: - Greet Clients on the phone and in person - Accept client payments, properly record firm accounts receivable & prepare deposits - Assist clients with scanning and submitting their tax paperwork - Maintaining day-to-day operations in the firm, like ordering office supplies as needed or coordinating with vendors and other staff - Assist with financial data entry and record maintenance - Ensure client confidentiality and accurate record keeping and return of documents - Collaborate with our team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting - Support senior accountants in various financial projects Qualifications: - Customer service experience - High School Diploma - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Competent computer skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Eagerness to learn, Integrity, & Humor! If desired, there is room to learn and grow into more accounting based tasks. Attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality are crucial components of this position. This is a client interacting position and does require reliable transportation and attendance during peak seasons, but as we are predominately a tax firm, there is the possibility for flexible scheduling during the slower \xe2\x80\x9coff\xe2\x80\x9d tax seasons periods.
