Job Summary
This position exists to provide administrative support to the Disability Determination Services (DDS) leadership team, which is essential for the agency to accomplish its mission of determining individual eligibility for Social Security disability benefits and/or Supplemental Security Income benefits as directed by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Duties include:
To provide administrative support by monitoring group mailboxes and distributing messages, maintaining organizational data, coordinating meetings, and storing/transmitting documentation as directed by DDS management
Provide hiring and personnel administration support to DDS managers and supervisors
Manage employee work sample documentation for reporting to SSA
Manage supply inventory
Coordinate vendor services for various office equipment.
Maintain DDS card access for employees/contractors
Process requests to disclose consultative exam reports
Maintain inventory of SSA-issued mobile phones
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.
Knowledge of English sufficient to perform job duties, using reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with phone, email, and other messaging systems.
Skill in creating and editing PDF documents using software such as Adobe Acrobat or similar software.
Skill in the use of computer software applications to create spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or similar software.
Skill in customer service to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and vendors.
Skill in keyboarding sufficient to enter information quickly and accurately.
Ability to organize, prioritize work, and be self-directed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of administrative support work experience.
Skill in creating visual diagrams using software such as Microsoft Visio or similar software.
Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws.
Ability to make decisions independently in a fast-paced working environment.
