Job Summary





To perform clerical duties for Driver Compliance Units as instructed. To support driving record compliance according to State and Federal laws as well as Driver and Vehicle Services rules and procedures. (This job announcement is to fill up to two (2) positions at this location)

Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications


  • Data entry sufficient to receive, review and compare documents and accurately enter data.
  • Good skill in human relations and communication is needed for interactions with all co-workers and public customers.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to understand and be understood in person or on the phone.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Ability to problem solve, or to determine the action to be taken when reviewing driver license records.
  • Ability to analyze problems as they affect the daily work and offer potential solutions.
  • Interpret documents for reinstatement and take appropriate action.
  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Graduate of one of the following public sector training programs: Project for Pride in Living, HIRED, Goodwill Easter Seals, Twin Cities Rise, Takoda, Hmong American Partnership, CLUES or similar Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) sponsored workforce development programs.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.

Physical Requirements

Very Light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
