Job Description

The Multi Craft Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. This position requires a skilled technician with a diverse background in industrial maintenance, capable of troubleshooting and repairing various systems including electrical and mechanical. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain and enhance our production capabilities.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and systems including hydraulics and electrical components. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management. Conduct troubleshooting using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to diagnose issues effectively. Execute welding tasks including stick welding as needed for repairs or modifications. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate repairs and installations. Operate scissor lifts safely to access equipment in elevated areas for maintenance tasks. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support related to equipment functionality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols including high voltage safety measures.

Requirements

Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing facility. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance practices. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their applications in manufacturing processes. Ability to read and understand schematics related to electrical systems and mechanical operations. Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments for diagnostics and analysis. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and implement effective solutions
