Starting Rate $26 - $43 an hour.

Active Minerals International is seeking a Muli-Craft Maintenance Technician to perform these key functions in our Aiken SC kaolin clay processing location.

Position Summary:
This position will plan and execute preventative maintenance. This position will also troubleshoot and repair high speed electrical and mechanical production equipment and support the achievement of the facility\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for all aspects of maintenance as required to install and maintain high speed production equipment and the facility\xe2\x80\x99s equipment.
• Relies on experience, training and judgment to accomplishing goals.
• Performs ALL tasks defined by the AMI Job Task Analysis (JTA).
• Performs emergency/unscheduled and basic preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment as \xe2\x80\x9cqualified\xe2\x80\x9d.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, tests, and makes adjustments on plant equipment.
• Detects faulty operations and defective equipment; reports those and any unusual situations to management.
• Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
• Records all used spare parts on the work order to ensure proper re-order.
• Follow and adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position/department, and as required by ISO.
• Complies with all federal or state laws and regulations and company policy and procedures.
• Conduct workplace exams for all daily work areas; immediately resolves and/or reports hazardous conditions; properly secures all guarding immediately following repairs..
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Skill Sets: * Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience; AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus.

• Minimum of 4-5 years of performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, Variable Frequency Drives and PLC.
• Proficiency with computers and computer applications, including Computerized Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS).
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to complete projects and assignments from inception to completion.
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license required; valid forklift license/AMI forklift training and score 85% or better on the Kenexa FLO test.
• Must wear all required PPE including electrical and respiratory equipment as required. Respirator Fit Test is required at hire; no facial hair can interfere with the seal of the respirator at pre-hire and annual fit test screening.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Work is performed in a production environment. Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis. Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet. Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously. Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard. Vision and a sense of hearing are also required.
