Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our team in the financial services sector. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our organization, particularly in areas related to loan origination and processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting, relevant regulations and mortgage compliance along with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the loan origination process by gathering necessary documentation and information from clients. Understand underwriting activities such as credit analysis and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Assist in processing loans efficiently while adhering to guidelines and internal policies. Maintain accurate records of contracts and loan timelines. Collaborate with loan officers to facilitate communication between clients and financial institutions. Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loans, accounts, and other financial transactions. Perform data entry tasks, computer & typing skills to ensure timely processing. Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing files and reports.

Skills

Knowledge of FNMA guidelines and mortgage industry standards is preferred. Experience in underwriting, loan processing, or as a loan officer is advantageous. Familiarity with financial services operations and banking practices. Strong analytical skills for credit analysis and risk assessment. Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to financial transactions. Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
