About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded

Mini Excavator Operator

to join our team as an

in-house contractor

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utility installation, trenching, and site preparation. This position requires attention to detail, safe operation of equipment, and teamwork to support efficient and high-quality project completion.

Responsibilities:

Operate mini excavators to dig trenches, expose utilities, and complete site prep. Load, move, and place materials safely and accurately. Work closely with drill crews, locators, and laborers to complete daily projects. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and proper operation. Read and follow site plans, markings, and crew instructions. Adhere to all company and safety policies at all times. Perform additional site duties as needed to assist the crew.

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating mini excavators and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of underground utilities and safe digging practices preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Reliable transportation to the Thornton, CO area. Ability to pass a background check. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Rate:

$28/hour

after 60 days of employment.

. Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
