job summary:
Financially established manufacturer seeks a Technical Sales Manager to lead all technical sales and process metallurgy activities in an exciting mill environment! You should have both process metallurgy and technical sales experience from a primary steelmaking environment, preferably with flat rolled steel or SBQ. strong communication skills and a commitment to team dynamic are a must for this role. responsibilities:

• Oversee the metallurgical technical sales department. This includes ensuring that the department is meeting its sales goals, that the customer base is being maintained and grown, and that the department is operating efficiently and effectively.

• Manage the metallurgical technical sales staff. This includes hiring, training, and evaluating employees, as well as providing them with the resources they need to do their jobs effectively.

• Lead process metallurgy

• Interface with existing customers on supplier quality issues (defect analysis etc)

requirements:

• BS or MS Metallurgical Engineering or similar

• Technical experience from a primary steel production environment

• Flat rolled steel or SBQ experience preferred

• Previous technical sales or sales support experience desired

• strong leadership and communication skills required, as well as a commitment to team dynamic
